The BAMSA BAM is raising funds for an international project on increasing youth and school bridge in the USA, UK and Europe. We hope you can play in this online team event on 27 April on RealBridge – 10am EDT, 15.00 BST, 16.00 CEST.
The Board-a-match teams will be scored as 1 point to win a hand, ½ point for a draw and 0 for a loss. There will be two sessions of 20 boards (concessions for U21s). Hand commentary and special prizes are provided, thanks to Master Point Press and the Scottish Bridge Union.
Bridge: A MindSport for All (BAMSA) has just recruited a three-year post-doctoral researcher to work on the new youth and schools study. This mindsport education and bridge project will benefit many countries (all project resources will be free and there will be templates that can be translated to other languages).
Please register here for the BAMSA BAM on Saturday 27 April:
Prizes for the BAMSA BAM include an e-copy of Barnet Shenkin’s book Heroes, Icons and Scandals, and Samantha Punch’s book of interviews with top players Bridge at the Top: Behind the Screens.
Your support for youth and schools bridge is much appreciated. We hope many countries will participate in this fun event – all welcomed.
If you cannot play that day but would like to make a donation towards the growth of youth bridge, you can donate to BAMSA via the Keep Bridge Alive Crowdfunder.
